CCHC to host 4th Annual Back to School Health & Wellness Event Celebrating National Health Center Week!

June 24, 2019 – Comprehensive Community Health Centers (CCHC) is thrilled to announce their upcoming 4^th Annual Back to School Health and Wellness Event taking place on Saturday, August 3^rd 2019 at the health center’s Sunland clinic site. In celebration to support National Health Center Week, at the event, backpacks and school supplies in addition to preventive health screenings will be provided to children all for FREE, ensuring children are ready and set for a new school year!

This year CCHC is collaborating with community partners and organizations alike to provide over 1000 new backpacks stuffed with school supplies to kindergarten, elementary and high school students. In addition to offering various health screenings, CCHC will be partnering with the Cal State Los Angeles ECHO Dental Project team to provide children with FREE dental screenings. The event will host various community organizations and social service agencies who will participate and provide participants with helpful resources and educational materials.

No celebration is complete without a live DJ, carnival games, face painting and fun activities. All these and more will be available to all attendees.

The free event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at CCHC’s Sunland Clinic site, located at 8316 Foothill Blvd, Sunland, CA 91040.
